Chapter 390

The female butler handed over the phone.

The notebook was filled with several pages.

"Potato chips, chocolate bars, popcorn, cookies... How did you know all of this?" Layla was surprised, some of which she hadn't even mentioned. "You're so observant."

"I only observe what I care about." Samuel raised an eyebrow.

Layla felt exceptionally touched.

"When she is angry, I need to comfort her immediately. Being ignored for more than two minutes will make her angrier. Crave sweets during the period and get moody on the first day of the period..." Samuel added.

Layla was both angry and amused. "Who says I get moody? Is there a woman gentler than me during the period?"

Samuel recorded everything about Layla in the notebook.

Layla's eyes were a bit moist. Samuel's heart was fully occuplied by her. Cetering to Layla from any tiny details was the most touching.

In comparison, Layla knew and cared too little about Samuel.

Layla secretly made up her mind to pay more attention to Samuel who loved her so much.

In a small movie theater, a classic romance film was playing on the screen.

Layla lay horizontally on Samuel's lap on the three-meter sofa, staring at the screen intently, only needing to open her mouth when Samuel fed her.

A piece of popcorn...

A jelly...

A candy...

With snacks and handsome server, Layla found the right way to watch a movie.

Layla was immersed in the plot, suddenly feeling a bit itchy in her chest, only to discover that someone's hand had slipped under her clothes at some point.

"Don't." She tried to pull his hand out.

"Focus on the movie." In the darkness, Samuel's low voice was very sexy.

"I can't focus with you doing that," Layla said.

"Then shall we do something else?" Samuel asked.

Layla said, "I don't want to. Let's seriously watch the movie. Keep feeding me."

"Darling, I can feed you with the other hand," Samuel replied.

A marshmallow was brought to Layla's lips.

Layla felt helpless and could only let Samuel continue.

The film progressed, and the male and female leads passionately kissed and fell onto the bed.

Layla swallowed nervously, feeling a bit strange watching the bed scene with the two of them.

The atmosphere was becoming more and more ambiguous.

Layla looked up and suddenly met Samuel's gaze, her heart pounding intensely. How long had he been looking at her?

"You're seducing me." Samuel pinned Layla beneath him.

"I, I'm not..." Layla said.

"You deliberately chose this movie, didn't you?" Samuel's gaze was intense, his fingers pinching her chin. "Babe..." He bit Layla's earlobe.

Layla's breathing quickened slightly, her eyes showing some nervousness. It made her more delicate and lovely.

Layla was fatally attracted to Samuel.

Samuel cursed softly and kissed her again. She gradually melted in his passion and had no strength left.

Snacks were scattered on the floor.

In the soft sofa, Layla nestled in the crook of the man's arm, squinting her eyes, like a lazy Persian cat, cute and charming.

Half-closed eyes, she murmured, "It's crazy to be in a movie theater."

"Crazy isn't bad, right?" Samuel played with Layla's fingers, occasionally kissing her pearl-like nails.

Everything about her was so lovely.

"This is a movie theater, after all." Although it was a private theater in a hotel, but still...

"Adding a brilliant touch to our love story. Different places bring different feelings, and we need to try them out often," Samuel explained.

"What love story? It's clearly your beastly story," Layla retorted.

"How can you say that? Sex is one of the most beautiful things of humans," Samuel added.

"Yes, yes, why don't you write a ten-thousand-word thesis about it?" Layla asked.

Samuel lightly bit Layla's finger. "I prefer to prove its beauty through practice rather than theory."

"Stop, stop! Off-topic." Layla protested in a soft tone, sounding more like she was coquettish.

Samuel smiled and lightly bit her lip. "I'm not off-topic."

"How annoying..." Layla said.

The two of them were affectionate in the movie theater for most of the day before coming out, and it was already dark outside.

Layla was pleasantly surprised to see that it was snowing. "Look! It's snowing again!"

It was almost early spring, and a heavy snowfall at this time was particularly delightful.

White snowflakes fluttered down from the French windows, interweaving with the warm orange light outside, like a romantic fairy tale world.

"So beautiful," Layla exclaimed.

Samuel walked up behind Layla, encircling her petite body, his chin gently resting on her head. "We've had several heavy snowfalls this year, haven't we? Haven't you seen enough?"

"How can you ever see enough of snow? I can never get enough in a lifetime." Layla looked up with her small face, gazing at the beautiful snow scene outside without blinking. "No matter how many snowfalls you see, the beauty of the first snow every year is always astonishing."

"Is that so?" Samuel asked.

Layla and Samuel watched each other. Her fair face was brightened by the light, and her fine hair seemed particularly warm and cute.

"Just like you, never enough to see. Every meeting is as surprising as the first time," Samuel said.

Thinking of their first encounter, Layla couldn't help but smile. "Our first meeting wasn't surprising. It was clearly a shock, right? If that night I hadn't gotten drunk and barged into the bar, if I hadn't mistaken you for a 'sex worker,' if we hadn't coincidentally met at that time, there wouldn't be today. Everything is made up of countless accidents."

"I don't believe in accidents. All accidents are destined arrangements.,

Samuel said.

"Do you believe in fate?" Layla was somewhat surprised.

"I started to believe in it after meeting you," Samuel added.

Her heart felt sweet.

"But at that time, at that place, there were too many uncertainties. If..." Layla said.

"There are no ifs. I never think about ifs. All accidents are inevitable results. We were destined to meet." Samuel said with absolute certainty.

"But thinking about it still feels miraculous and can't be off by a second," Layla said.

Layla didn't know what Samuel's life would be like if they hadn't met. But if she hadn't met him, she wouldn't be as outstanding as she was now. Perhaps just stepping out of the shadow of her ex-boyfriend, living a mundane life like countless ordinary office workers in this city, busy every day, living in a monotonous dormitory of the company.

Everything Samuel was giving Layla now felt like a dream, as if she had suddenly turned into the lucky female lead in The Princess Diaries.

"If that night, it wasn't me who went to the hotel with you, but another woman," Layla said.

"I wouldn't take any other woman to a hotel, let alone let her get pregnant," Samuel replied.

"But weren't you trying to avoid marriage..." Layla added.

Samuel's lips curved into a shallow smile. "Silly girl, I had a crush on you at first sight."

Looking back, if he hadn't had a crush on Layla at first sight, he wouldn't have chosen her. Some feelings were only understood after a long time.

Layla's lips lifted.

There were no accidents, no ifs. Everything had long been predetermined.

She didn't want to miss the fate between the two of them.

Layla wanted to firmly grasp this fate.
