Chapter 781

"I..."

Before she could respond, Rock, with a cold expression, said, "I just called Mr. Harper to personally apologize. He told me not to contact him anymore."

Winnie's eyes flickered slightly.

Rock's usually elegant face turned sour, even showing signs of uncontrollable anger. "Mr. Harper said you were pushing him too far, forcing him to slap Angelina at her party before you would let it go. He said he's afraid to provoke you anymore!"

Winnie frowned; she didn't think she was wrong in this matter.

She explained, "Rock, Mr. Harper is a very narrow-minded person. I'm sorry he rejected you because of me, but at that time, it was Angelina who kept causing trouble for me. I couldn't just keep tolerating it."

"Stop making excuses. Do you know what else Mr. Harper said?"

Rock's eyes flashed with a hint of malice as he abruptly interrupted her, "He said tonight you and Lawrence were sneaking around in the bathroom, which is what made Ms. Harper so furious. Is that true? Who are you texting on your phone right now?"

Rock roared, unable to control his anger any longer.

Winnie's face turned pale, and she instinctively glanced at the phone on the sink.

She was afraid Rock would see the flirtatious messages from Lawrence. Her face looked very unnatural.

Maybe she could deny it and lie to others, but she couldn't be so deceitful in front of Rock, her lawful husband.

Helping Lawrence tonight was a fact.

Seeing her remain silent, the rationality Rock had been holding onto finally snapped.

He could no longer pretend to be gentle and roared in a fit of rage, "Winnie! You shameless woman, do you think you deserve me? I've given you chance after chance. Don't think I don't know you've met Lawrence several times. I didn't say anything because I was tolerating you. And what did you do? This is how you repay me? Usually, when I touch you, you act like you're dying, but when Lawrence touches you, you willingly give in, even sneaking around with him at Angelina's party. How cheap can you be?"

Rock wanted to control himself.

But tonight, Samuel's anger and Winnie's betrayal made it impossible for him to keep up the pretense.

The thought of her shamelessly sneaking around with Lawrence at a party full of people filled him with a surge of anger, making him want to tear Winnie apart.

Winnie stared in shock at this version of Rock.

His eyes were filled with loathing and coldness, as if he wanted to devour her. His once gentle features had become twisted and unrecognizable, as if he had become a different person. So unfamiliar.

To think such contemptuous and venomous words could come from his mouth.

Although she could understand his anger, any man would probably be unable to tolerate it.

Winnie clenched her fists and apologized with suppressed bitterness, "Rock, I'm sorry. I can never truly accept you. I don't want to lie to you or myself anymore. No matter how hard I try, I just can't live with you."

A crisp, vicious slap landed on Winnie's cheek.

Rock's force was brutal and heavy, directly knocking her onto the bed behind her.

Half of Winnie's face quickly swelled up.

Before she could recover from the shock, Rock, like a madman, pounced on her, tearing at her clothes with force.

"After sneaking around with Lawrence, you come to tell me you can't accept living together?"

He gritted his teeth, his face twisted, pressing down on her slender neck, roaring in anger, "Are you playing me? Winnie, since you're so cheap, I don't need to respect you anymore. Tonight, I will have you, the wanton woman. However you were with Lawrence, you'll be with me!"

With several ripping sounds, Winnie's clothes were torn in multiple places.

Her face turned pale, and she struggled in panic, but soon her skin was marked with his bruises.

She felt terrified. Was this the real Rock?

She was scared, struggling desperately, "Rock, let go of me!"

But Rock ignored her words, his face flushed, completely losing his previous gentleness. In a moment of desperation, Winnie kicked him hard!

Fortunately, she had learned some combat skills abroad over the past three years.

Her kick almost hit his vital spot, but Rock dodged nimbly. He was thrown to the side, but his anger exploded, and he pounced on her again.

The two of them tangled by the bed.

Things on the cabinet kept shattering, and the room fell into chaos.

Winnie, with tears in her eyes, mustered the last bit of strength, knowing that continuing to struggle would only result in more harm.

She took the opportunity to smash a vase at him. As Rock dodged, she grabbed her phone, didn't even put on her shoes or change her clothes, and rushed out of the villa, fleeing to her car and driving away quickly.

In the rearview mirror, she even saw Rock chasing after her.

That scene, in the dark night, with Rock chasing her, made her heart tremble with fear.

She had never imagined there would be a day when she would fight with Rock.

Especially since Rock, in everyone's eyes, had always been a gentle, elegant man who never got angry.

Even when she married Lawrence, they never fought, let alone Lawrence hitting her.

But now, her face, arms, and thighs hurt, covered in bruises.

Winnie shivered as she breathed, a cold light flashing in her eyes. This Rock was the real Rock, wasn't he? She finally saw it.

The Rock that scared her.

If his true nature was so gloomy, irritable, and unpredictable, while he had been pretending to be gentle and amiable all these years, then such a man was terrifying.

At this moment, Winnie was almost certain that if Rock had such a vicious personality in secret, he was very likely to have done something to Olivia when she was investigating him, leading to her disappearance.

And Sierra's sudden death.

She gripped the steering wheel tightly, Rock's twisted expression flashing in her mind. She could no longer coexist with Rock.

After Winnie left, Rock didn't catch up with her and angrily smashed many things at home.

But after smashing everything, looking at the mess, a deep regret flashed across his twisted face. Damn it, he had lost control.

Now was not the time to completely expose himself in front of Winnie and fall out with her.

He picked up his phone again and kept texting Winnie: [Winnie, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to hit you just now. I was just too angry. How could you cheat on me with Lawrence? No man could tolerate that. I admit I lost control. Now that I've calmed down, I realize how wrong I was. Please come back. Let's not fight anymore. I'm afraid of losing you. I love you.]

After sending the message, his vicious eyes narrowed, and he immediately called Ishara, "Winnie might not be so obedient anymore. Prepare the cooperation documents between the Blanchet Group and the Harrington Group. I'll go to the hospital tonight to get Carlos to sign!"

Ishara, eager to reclaim the Blanchet Group, didn't mind letting Rock take control of it first.

She sneered, "Alright."
